DiY Photo Branch

So here is a project that me and my granddaughter did over the weekend. She decided after seeing a lot of my different projects around my home that she wanted us to do a project together. One that she could take home to her mother.

So I decided to try one with branches. Thinking that if we did something that could hang on the wall, plus be useful, her mother wouldn\’t flip out! (They are in the process of moving again with not much space at this time)

So I let her pick out her tree branch for this project from several that I had laying around in the yard. Future projects I had yet started on. And we then went and took a set of led lights out of one of my twine lights.

The fairy lights as some call them are the type that you can just plug into a usb adapter. I like these types of lights. For one because they can be plugged into a 6 way charger for usb\’s. I have a few of these around my home. So it makes it more convenient for me. And they usually have a very long area between your first light and where you plug in at.

So we got out my staple gun and I proceeded to wrap the fairy lights from the very bottom of the branch to the very top. Using a wrap around effect so that most all of the branch was covered. We then took an old electric lights cord that I had saved after they quit working, and cut the pieces that used to house the small lightbulbs.

They have little clip areas where you would attach them to things as you were hanging them. So we used the hot glue gun to attach them to our branch, with the clip thing facing forward. Then all you had to do was slide your picture down into the clip. It holds them perfectly!

We then took a piece of twine and stapled it on each branch piece so that it hangs on the wall perfectly. It makes it look sort of like a wishbone.

But it works, and Addy really loves it. So that was all that mattered on this project.
