So this is a very easy project to do. You could be doing your very first project and would have no trouble with it at all!

Getting Started

To get this project going, you are of course going to be needing a mirror. And you will want to get one that is just a boring old mirror. Maybe just like mine in the picture above. It’s just a plain old vertical mirror that just has a piece of brown wood trim all the way around it

You will be covering whatever is on your mirrors edge, so you don’t want to go out and buy a fancy mirror. So I would suggest just using one that has been laying around your home forever. And if you don\’t have one just lying around your home, well no worries. Check out my link below for stand up mirrors.

There are a lot of different ways in order to find yourself that perfect mirror for your diy projects! I actually found mine at a local store. And I got a good deal on it. Usually things are not all that cheap at hardware stores however.

If you are strapped for cash like I am most of the time, you might want to check out your local thrift stores, goodwill stores, yard sales, or auctions. You never know what on earth someone could have just donated at your local goodwill store!

So however you want to go about getting your mirror is great. As long as you get one. So now you will have yourself. a stand up mirror that needs an updo in it\’s life! So your next step will be to make sure you have all of your supplies ready. There is not much that you will need to do this mirror project.

Supplies You Will Need

1. Stand up rectangular mirror
2. Tile pieces (sample board pieces) (or you can buy some small tile pieces)
3. Hot glue gun
4. Hot glue Sticks

I have posted some pictures below of the sample boards that I used for this project. And of course because they were sample boards that we got from our local flooring stores dumpster, they were free! So thanks to the dumpster, I was able to do another diy project for practically nothing out of my own pocket!

The only bad thing that you will run into if you were to try getting sample boards, is getting the sample pieces off of there! Some of them will come right off, while some of the others on there will get you wondering if you will ever get them off!

So anyways it is worth it to me to sit and pry on my boards. As it enables me to have a large assortment of small tile pieces. Which leads to another thing about the sample boards. You will end up having to do your projects in a random type of tile design. Because sample boards are all about showing off all of the different types or color designs they may have.
