Let’s start with taking a look at what a revelation is.
A Revelation is a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way.
For those of you who didn’t know that the book of Revelation is actually Jesus’s revelation, well now you do know.
So when we think about the book of revelation, we have to remember that it is Jesus’s revelation, and that he is giving us knowledge that we did not have beforehand.
And when Jesus testifies that he is the offspring of Morningstar, in the book of revelation, I have to say that is a dramatic statement that definitely shocked me when I read it!
Morningstar has been another name for the devil for a very long time now.
Job 38:7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy.
Now they are talking about the angels in the verse above. So they cannot be talking about Jesus when they refer to the Morningstar. At least they can’t be talking about him if you are in agreement that Jesus was not an angel.
2 Thessalonians 2:2-9 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition. Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
Now let’s take a look at what this verse from Thessalonians is really telling us.
Right off the rip it states for the people not to be shaken that the day of Christ is at hand. And that they might be thinking this because of the coming of the Lord Jesus, and by them gathering to him. And he goes on to say let no man deceive you that the day of Christ has come. And he explicitly states for them not to think that the day of Christ has come by letter or anything else from them. Now he further explains that this day will not come until there comes a falling away first. And the man of sin “son of perdition” be revealed. So Paul is saying that by them gathering to the Lord Jesus, he doesn’t want to give the wrong idea. This is not the day of the Christ. That will come at the end of times. That is to come after the falling away, and after the “man of sin” be revealed. Who is also called the “son of perdition”.
Now look at this verse in John.
John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
It sounds like to me that Jesus is talking about himself in the verse above. For he states that he is here to fulfill scripture.
https://www.bibleref.com/Matthew/5/Matthew-5-17.html “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”
Hebrews 10:7- 9 Then I said, ‘Here I am—it is written about me in the scroll— I have come to do your will, my God.’ First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them”—though they were offered in accordance with the law. Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second.
Now let’s look at comes next in our verse In Thessalonians, “Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.”
We have the “son of perdition” who will establish himself as God basically. For that is what the anti christ is all about. A false Christ. Getting everyone to believe that he is actually God when he is not!
And here is the next sentence. “And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.”
He is talking to the people saying now you know what withholds and that he will be revealed in his time. Now think about what the book of Revelation actually is once again. It is the revealing of a truth. Of something that was not previously known. And this is Jesus’s revelation, remember.
Moving on to what Paul is telling us next. For the mystery of iniquity does already work. So he is stating that this iniquity is already happening in the world.
“only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”
Now it states “only he who letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.” So someone will have to be taken out of the way. And then that wicked shall be revealed. Once again that revealed! And now we have “that the Lord shall destroy with the brightness of his coming.”
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.”
So whose coming is after the working of Satan? With all power and signs and lying wonders!
Paul is telling us that he will come, (the real Christ) after the working of Satan is done. And that Satan will be doing this with power, signs, and lying wonders.
2 Corinthians 12:7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
Ephesians 3:1 For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you Gentiles.
People, Satan has been at work here for a long time now. Paul tried to tell us and yet everyone has turned everything completely around.
I have been studying into the Bible for about 3 years now. And I try not to look into other people’s ideas too often because I wanted to form my own opinion on what I thought of the Bible. Because I was so adamant on not reading it for such a very long time.
But I do study into new things every day. And I will definitely listen to people out there who have answers when it comes to the Bible. I know I am a newbie when it comes to this stuff. I am only sharing my opinion on what I feel like God is leading me to know.
You can take it however you want to. I just hope maybe some of you out there will start questioning some of these things before just following blindly behind some preachers. And only doing it because that’s what you have been taught to do.
Study into some of it and find your own answers. There were earthquakes all over the world yesterday. Which was the first day of the new year. The Nile river has turned blood red in color. The Euphrates river has basically dried up. There are bombs going off everywhere in New York. People are rioting outside of Washington. And a desert over in the Middle East has turned green in just a few weeks.
There is probably not going to be a lot of time left for people to get it figured out. Because most all of what is happening in the world has been prophesied in the Bible. And is coming true right now in our lifetime.
So at least pick up the Bible and see if you agree that there is something off with the way we have been reading it for years now. If you don’t think so, then no harm no foul.
