I am going to be writing about the 7 churches that Jesus addresses in the book of Revelation. And what their significance is concerning finding out who Jesus really was. And as to what Jesus actual intentions were when he came to the earth.
The First Church Of Ephesus
Revelation 2:2 I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
Now this first church of Ephesus starts out with stating how they have tried those who say they are apostles and has found them to be liars.They then go into stating how he has left his first love. And they go on to say remember therefore from where thou hast fallen, and repent.
Now what they are stating about the how far thou hast fallen, is very scary to me. For when they start talking about something fallen, they are usually talking about angels. And if you are talking about a fallen angel then you usually are talking about the devil and his host of angels. Now look at how close this next verse is to what they are saying in the addressing of the first church.
Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
And now that you see how closely related those verses are, then we need to look once again at the very end of the book of revelation.
Revelation 22:16 16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
So as you can see, Jesus is testifying that he is basically the son of David and the Morning Star. So when you look at the verse of Isaiah and see how it states “ O Lucifer, son of the Morning “, you can see a connection starting to take place.
The Second Church Of Smyrna
Revelation 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
The Third Church Of Pergamos
Revelation 2:13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful witness, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
So in the above verse they are again referencing something that has to do with Jesus. Speaking of how the faithful witness was slain, where Satan dwells. I am assuming that basically, they are saying that Jerusalem is where Satan dwells. It makes perfect sense to me. For the Lord of Hosts is known as the King of Israel. And with my theory of the Lord of Hosts being Satan, then it all fits together perfectly.
Revelation 2:14 But I have a few things against thee because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication. Now they are talking about how this church holds the doctrine of Baalam, who basically taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel. Most of us already know who Baal is. The Fourth Church Of Thyatira
Revelation 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
Revelation 2:26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. 28 And I will give him the morning star.
The Fifth Church Of Sardis
Revelation 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee”
The Sixth Church Of Philadelphia
Here are a few of the main points I am going to point out with the church of Philadelphia.
- He has the key of David
- He can open the door and no man can shut this door
- He can shut the door, and no man can open it
- He is holding open a door
- This door is for those who has not denied his name, and has kept his word
- He is going to make those who are of the synagogue of Satan and are lying about being Jews, come and worship at their feet, so that they will know that he loved them.
Revelation 2:7-12 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

3rd Church of Pergamus

4th Church of Thyatira
Revelation 2:18 And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass.
5th Church of Sardis
Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead
6th Church of Philadelphia
Revelation 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth.
7th Church of Laodeceans
Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.
