me and 2 of my daughters about 10 years after being told I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life.
This is how pitiful I am when it comes to keeping up with things. It’s been over 13 years since I was paralyzed. Now let’s do the math on how long ago it was that I wrote the first part to this series. I believe I said it had been about 7 years since I was paralyzed. That would make it like 6 or more years ago. WoW!
Time does fly does it not? Hell for all I know I may have finished the addiction issues series back around that time, and have just forgotten all about it. And lost the other parts obviously!
I’m going to try and finish what I started back then . So work with me a little bit please. I am also back to being brand new at working on websites once again. Not that I was ever very good at it to begin with. Nowadays we have things like ChatGPT, Groc, and Claude to help us out with these things. And wow are they fast at writing code! If I were trying to get a code in here like they do it would take me 1 week to even think about having it done. What they do in a few minutes time. It’s insane!
Anyway you may find that some links are not working all the way. And I am working on them to try and get everything up and running.
Now back to my story. I will try and pick up where I left off. And I believe I was talking about the Dr’s and giving out these scripts like they were candy! Then there went my Dr off to jail. And that’s when it went really downhill. I got on heroine and was shooting it up.
It was cheaper, easier to obtain, and it was about the only option we had. My hometown of Connersville suffered badly once my Dr shut down. Well I should say once the DEA came in and shut him down that there were some major ripple effects. I couldn’t even believe how many people in our small town had been going to him. We will call him Dr X for now. I am not sure of the legality of naming names like his, so I will be safe and that will be his name in this article.
It wasn’t long before I ended up in prison. For drugs of course. And every time I ever went to jail or prison it was because of drugs or alcohol. I had a lot of unresolved issues in my life that had initially lead me down that road of addiction. One of these being how I had been molested by my step grandmother when I was 6 years old.
And this continued until I was 12. Once the truth came out I started to drink heavily. I was about 13 and once I started drinking I found out how much I would become this bad ass who was not afraid of anything. I was nothing like that shy little girl who got molested all those years. A girl who was afraid to tell anyone because he told her that the entire family would fall apart if she did. So I was thrilled with the effects of alcohol.I thought it was wonderful to be this bad ass who feared nothing. And I was bound and determined to never be that girl again.
And I never was.
