In this post I will be covering some more theories of mine. You can decide at the end of this post. Do you think I am on the right track, or am I completely off?
I began this post’s title with the verse from Revelation (14:20). I decided to go ahead and write what I have found so far in regards to this Bible verse. And before I get started I will go ahead and share what the entire verse actually says. (Rev 14:20) “And the winepress was trodden without the city; blood came out of the winepress even unto the horses bridles by the space of one thousand and six hundred furlongs.”
I will begin with the fact that one thousand six hundred furlongs is equal to 125 miles. For I am sure that most people out there do not know what a furlong is equal to. If you do then you are better than me. Because I had to look it up right away. I had no clue as to what a furlong was!
Now what got me looking into this was after I found out about the 125 miles. Once I knew what the measurement meant in understandable terms, I saw something that reminded me of it. Somehow, I was investigating various aspects of Revelation and events related to the end of times. During this exploration, I began researching the eclipses that will occur in October of 2023 and April of 2024.
The first of these 2 eclipses will be on Oct 14th 2023. It is called an Annular Eclipse. This one is called the “Ring of Fire”. They call it this because when the moon passes before the sun. The moon will almost completely cover it. Only a tiny bit will remain all around the outer edge. Leaving it to appear like a ring of fire.
I cannot remember how I found the information about the eclipse’s width. I did see that it was covering a span of 125 miles. I immediately thought about the Bible verse in Revelation. It talks about blood coming out of the winepress at basically 125 miles. I don’t know what lead me to finding these. I really can’t tell you exactly what all got me here. But either way I will share with you all of the details that I do know about the eclipse.
The annular solar eclipse will again be visible from the U.S. This time, it will be visible from a roughly 125-mile-wide path of annularity. This path passes through Oregon, Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Texas. It then crosses Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Colombia, and Brazil. Everyone in the Americas will see a partial solar eclipse that will last more than 2.5 hours. This is the 2nd eclipse of 3 that will be happening in a 7-year period. The first one was a total eclipse in 2017. Then we have the Annular Eclipse of 2023. And now we go onto our next total eclipse in April of 2024. The width of this eclipse will be exceptional. For the shadow path for the previous 21 US eclipses averaged 93 miles wide. The eclipse in 2017 was 71 miles in width. In 2024, the path of totality will be significantly longer, measuring 124 miles. Normally the path of a total eclipse is rather shy. It usually picks areas such as over the ocean. Total eclipses often avoid heavily populated areas. Not so with the 2024 eclipse. The path of totality will include cities such as Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, and Indianapolis. It will also pass through Cleveland, Buffalo New York, Erie Pennsylvania, Lancaster New Hampshire, and Montreal. Indianapolis, Indiana, is one of the cities in the eclipse’s path of totality. It is in my own backyard. Only 50 miles away.
Check out the picture. It gives the paths of these 2 eclipses. It also shows where they are both going to meet. And this would be Texas. And the picture illustrates this with a cross. Or I guess one could say X marks the spot. Anyway, I started to think about these eclipses. They could be related to the verse that talks about blood coming out of the winepress. This thought came up after considering the bowl judgments. (Rev 16:10) “The fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast. His kingdom was full of darkness. They gnawed their tongues for pain”.
I started thinking about the darkness in the kingdom of the anti-Christ. Somehow, I made a connection to the 125 miles in the winepress verse. I also thought about the eclipses that would be happening. I definitely could be wrong about my theory here. But it really seems as if there is a connection. Now what exactly that connection means, I do not know!
Interestingly over the lower Ohio Valley, the totality of 2017 and 2024 intersect. On average, a specific geographic location is treated to a total solar eclipse approximately once every 375 years. But Carbondale Illinois which christened itself as the “Eclipse Crossroads “ will be getting 2 total eclipses. In 2017 they got to experience a total eclipse, and now in 2024, they will be experiencing another total eclipse. So it’s like I said, I don’t exactly know what to think about all of this. My advice would be to get right with God.
(2 Cor 5:20) Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
(Isaiah 34:16) Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail.
