I will get right to it with this post. And as the title implies, I am trying to prove a few things to anyone who will listen concerning Jesus, and who he really was. First thing I am pointing out is as the title once again implies, I believe Jesus is one of the 2 witnesses that the book of Revelation speaks of.
This is Jesus’s Revelation
Revelation 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants’ things which must shortly come to pass;”
So what exactly is Revelation? A Revelation is a surprising and previously unknown fact, especially one that is made known in a dramatic way. It can also be defined as the divine or supernatural disclosure to humans of something relating to human existence or the world.
So either way you want to look at what a Revelation actually is, it still comes down to the person giving the Revelation is telling us something important basically.
This is also Jesus’ Testimony
Now I would like to point out that Jesus is giving his testimony also.
Revelation 1:2 Who bear record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.”
So what exactly is a testimony? A testimony is a solemn declaration usually made orally by a witness under oath.
If you will notice that testimony is defined as a solemn declaration usually made orally by a witness.
Jesus is also the witness
So what exactly is a witness? A witness can be defined as one who has knowledge of (an event or change) from personal observation or experience. Or one who has evidence, or proof of a crime that took place.
Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood.
Revelation 3:14 And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;”
Now that I have pointed out verses to show you where it states that Jesus is all of these things, I will move on to some of the other requirements of the 2 witnesses in the book of Revelation.
- The witnesses will prophecy for a period of 3 1/2 years.
- In Jerusalem
- In sackcloth
Revelation 11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.”
Well, we know that Jesus ministered in Jerusalem for a period of around 3 1/2 years. And we know that he was probably dressed in sackcloth most of that time. Considering that was normal attire for them back then. And 1,260 days is equal to 3 1/2 years. As is the 42 months that they use in a couple of other parts in the book of Revelation.
- They will have powers over waters.
- They can shut down heaven.
- They can smite the earth with plagues, as often as they want.
Revelation 11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
Jesus Having Power Over The Waters
So we know that Jesus definitely had power over the waters.
- Walking on water.
- Changing water to wine.
- Calming the storm.
- The miraculous catch of fish
- Healing the paralytic
And not to mention that he is said to have come by water and blood.
I John 5:6 This is He who came by water and blood — Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood.
Revelation 11:9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.
- Jesus was said to have died and came back to life after 3 1/2 days
- They did not put him in a grave, they put him in a sepulcher.
Revelation 11:10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.
- Do we not rejoice over Jesus?
- And do we not make merry and send gifts to one another on Christmas Day, in recognition of Jesus Christ’s birthday?
Revelation 11:11 And after three days and a half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet, and great fear fell upon them which saw them.
- Is not Jesus to have been said to be raised from the dead?
Revelation 11:12 And they heard a great voice from heaven saying unto them, Come up hither. And they ascended up to heaven in a cloud; and their enemies beheld them.
- Once again I am pretty sure that Jesus was said to have ascended up to heaven on a cloud after his resurrection.
- And I know this because this is how Jesus is supposed to have said that he would return. On the right hand of power, and coming from the clouds of heaven.

Now I would like to point out one more verse that tells us how Jesus is giving his testimony in this last book of the newest Bible.
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.
And for anyone who does not know who or what the morning star represents, then here it is. The Morning Star is another name for the Devil. All of the angels are referred to as stars throughout the Bible. But the Morning Star is a unique name for the Devil. All you have to do is watch an episode of Lucifer on Hulu or whatever one of the programs carries it, and you will find that the show is all based on the “Devil” Lucifer Morningstar, and he is basically on vacation here on Earth. I believe that is how they portrayed him to be doing. It has been a long time since I have seen any of the episodes. I used to love the series. Nowadays I do not watch television at all. And I spend most of my time studying the Bible trying to find answers to questions such as this one. Why is Jesus giving a testimony that he is the child of the Devil basically? In my opinion, it is a hell of a question that many more Christians out there should probably be asking before it is too late.
Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
