Elisha/Elijah
I am going to begin today by speaking about Elisha, and Elijah. I have to admit I have been shocked lately by what I have seen on the internet concerning these 2. Now I will say that I really don’t know much about Elijah. Besides the fact that he was taken up to heaven and never experienced a human death.

That is about all my knowledge concerning Elijah. Now, Elisha, I do know a little bit about him. The way that I found out about Elisha was by accident really. I kept seeing that name in the New Testament. Surrounding Jesus almost all of the time. He stated that John the Baptist was Elias. Now I kept on noticing how they were using the wrong spelling for Elijah. My boyfriend kept saying that he was talking about Elijah. But I didn’t buy into that. Because I know if you’re going to print out an entire book like the Bible, then you know how to spell!
So I started looking into Elisha/Elias on the internet. And all I could ever get was usually things about Elijah. So finally as I started reading more into the Bible I came across Elisha. And their names were so close that I thought at first they were twins.
But come to find out I guess not. Elisha and Elijah’s had some sort of student /mentor relationship. Well, I then found all sorts of things on the internet about Elisha and Elijah. One woman had an article in there saying how excellent their mentorship was. And how Elisha was just so dedicated! And by the time a person would get done reading her article, they would be ready to go and nominate Elisha, and Elijah, for a Nobel Peace Prize!

Before we go and get them the Nobel Peace Prize, however, let’s look into some of the reality of what at least Elisha did. These things take place directly after Elijah has left.
2 Kings 2:15 (And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him).
2 Kings And he went up from thence unto Beth-el: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them
Ok granted, the children should not have been mocking him, but for real? I think it is a little above and beyond, for him to have asked in his lord’s name for a bear to come out and maul 42 children! Kids can be little demons while they are young, and have yet to develop enough empathy, to understand that they are being torturous little demons to others. I still have to say that that is a little severe!
He then goes onto 2 Kings 4:7 And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me. 28 Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
2 Kings 4:34 And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon the child, and the flesh of the child waxed warm. 35 Then he returned and walked in the house to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes. 36 And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she came in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
Now one might think oh what a great miracle! But I just don’t know about all of that. And one might think that he did this just to be a good guy but I believe there are some parts they left out of the Bible concerning how she conceived this child. I believe there was more to it than her just standing in the doorway, and Elisha told her that she would conceive.
I believe that when they had sex, this woman conceived a child. Just like Elisha said she would. And as you can see from this next verse I will share with you, how it appears that Elisha has a son. And this son is basically of the walking dead.
2 Kings 13:10 In the thirty and seventh year of Joash king of Judah began Jehoash the son of Jehoahaz to reign over Israel in Samaria and reigned for sixteen years.11 And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD; he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel sin: but he walked therein.
2 Kings 13:13 And Joash slept with his fathers; and Jeroboam sat upon his throne: and Joash was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel
2 Kings 13:14 Now Elisha was fallen sick of his sickness whereof he died. And Joash the king of Israel came down unto him, and wept over his face, and said, O my father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof.
Now if you would like to read more on this story you can just go to 2 Kings 14.
2 Kings 3:27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land.
The above verse is just one of the many terrible things that happened in this time of Elisha in the 2 Kings. We also have people boiling their kids and eating them. Fighting over the fact that one person ate their kid that night and the other person was supposed to give up their kid the next night and didn’t stick to the agreement. Some really crazy stuff going on in this timeframe of the Bible.
Then you also have Elisha leading an army of men into a trap by having the Lord close their eyes until the right moment. Then when they were surrounded, he had him open his eyes to a full-fledged attack. You have Elisha serving food to a bunch of men who all of a sudden say that there is death in the food. And can’t eat anymore. So I am assuming that would mean they were probably eating one of those 42 kids that the bear mauled!
You also have where their Lord is sending Elijah to Bethel. When he goes of course Elisha goes with him. I cannot say exactly what was up with Bethel, but it got me studying Bethel a little bit. I found out that it has become a sort of cursed place.
I have found out that there is a Bethel Church in California, that is taking the world by storm. They have multiple videos on Youtube. I really do not know much about it besides what I saw in an article I read online. The man was really advising against this church. All I really know at this time is that Bethel was called the city of god at one time. But it was found out later that this town was not what people really thought. And there were no transformations going on in Bethel like everyone thought it was.
Here are a few of the verses I have found in the Bible concerning Bethel.
Amos 5:5 But seek not Beth-el, nor enter into Gilgal, and pass not to Beer-sheba: for Gilgal shall surely go into captivity, and Beth-el shall come to nought.
Amos 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words
14 They that swear by the sin of Samaria, and say, Thy god, O Dan, liveth; and, Thee
god, O Dan, liveth; and, The manner of Beer-sheba liveth; even they shall fall, and never rise up again.”
