Revelation 13:14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

So we have signs and wonders being done and the people magnifying the apostles. Probably through fear. And then we have a warning in the book of Revelation, saying that through these miracles, the people will be deceived. And that they should make an image to the beast that had the wound by the sword and did live. 

I have to say that there’s no denying that people have made an image of Jesus! And this right here is breaking one of the ten commandments. Thou shall make no image nor worship any image. Here’s where another one of my opinions comes in. I can’t prove it but I can give you these verses in Revelation, which I believe shows that Jesus is the first and second beast possibly.

how Jesus fulfills the prophecy of the beast

I believe Jesus fulfilled all prophetic language in regard to the first beast. 

1. He comes from the sea

Jesus came by blood and water. He also has a lot of water miracles under his belt. The turning water into wine, walking on water, calming the storm.

2. The mouth of a lion. Jesus is known as the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

3. Jesus was said to have preached for 3 1/2 years in the synagogues.

4. Has a deadly wound by the sword, but yet did live. Jesus was resurrected so that fits the narrative.

Moving onto the second beast. The second beast rises up out of the earth.
Rev 13:11-12 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
I believe that the symbolism of rising out of the earth is going along with the resurrection. For he said that the son of man would spend 3.5 days in the heart of the earth. So him dying and being put in the sepulcher is about the same as a person being buried. With all of it being symbolic of being dead you will be in the heart of the earth.

The second beast causes everyone to worship him when he rises from the dead. Ultimately if we can agree, it was the knowledge of the resurrection that got everyone onboard with Jesus. If it had not been for the resurrection then Jesus would have been just another person that was crucified for blasphemy. But we have the resurrection, and this is ultimately what caused most to convert to Christianity.
Isaiah 28:10-13 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little. For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear. But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

Revelation 13:14-15 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. 

And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast? Now let’s look to see who has the power over death. 

Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

So we know that the devil has the power over death by the above verse. So when the “dragon” the devil, gives life to his image, this could be referring to the resurrection right? And if you look in Psalms you will see how he calls out in his distress and the Lord answered him. 

Psalms 118:5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.

Psalms 118:7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me. 10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them. 17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. 18 The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death. 19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD: 27 God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

Who is the Lord?

Joshua 24:14-15 Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up.
Exodus 9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

The Lord was the one who was hardening the heart of pharaoh. He was doing this so he could ultimately showboat and make a name for himself.
Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

Now my theory on who they are talking about is that it was the devil who was with Moses when he died, and so therefore they disputed about who would get the body. The devil, because he was with Moses when he died. Or Michael, because God sent him after the body.
But that is my theory on who the Lord is. The Lord of hosts is the Lord over all of the host of heaven. This host being angels. And I believe that there is another deity hopping around on the pages of the Bible. One may work for the other, or could be trying to condemn the other “deity”.

I am still studying into it. And have not found all of my answers I am looking for. But I have found a lot that I believe is leading towards some major truths that are in the Bible. So as I learn it, I will share it with you.

contradicting or lies

John 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
There’s a bit of a contradiction in what Jesus said when it comes to whether you will be able to go in or out once you get to heaven or wherever they are referring to.


changing of names

Hosea 2:16 And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt call me Ishi; and shalt call me no more Baali. Ishi means my husband. The Lord of Hosts is referred to as your husband.
Isaiah 54:5 For thy Maker is thine husband; the LORD of hosts is his name; and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel; The God of the whole earth shall he be called.
